UX RESEARCH
Cropped image of left half of a tablet screen attached to a portable keyboard, showing a dashboard of student screens in a thumbnail view with some classroom controls in the outside of the interface.
LONGITUDINAL RESEARCH
Multi-year classroom research informed continuous system design and iteration.
Embedded research across K–6 classrooms informed design decisions through observation, interviews, and iterative prototyping within real instructional environments over multiple years.
A series of three images are shown including: a photo of the designer putting post-it notes on an affinity diagram, a mental model chart, and a task analysis chart.
REAL-TIME PLATFORM
A live instructional system connected classroom activity, student monitoring, and curriculum delivery.
The platform unified classroom management, learning activities, and performance visibility into a real-time environment supporting teachers, administrators, and curriculum teams.
Two tablets side-by-side show UI depicting a content timeline with content tiles, and the other showing a dashboard of student icons with 'On Task' status visible.
DATA SECURITY
Designed student data systems aligned with privacy, safeguarding, and compliance requirements.
The platform was designed to handle student data responsibly within educational environments, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards while supporting real-time instructional use.
Two tablets side-by-side show UI depicting a Standards Report data readout of school performance, and the other a Response To Intervention report data readout of student performance.
IMPACT
A scalable instructional system evolved through continuous classroom validation.
The platform deployed to support classroom instruction, curriculum delivery, and performance monitoring across K–6 environments for over 2+ million students in all 50 states across the US.
A laptop and tablet side by side show the same layout of a UI showing a summary dashboard entitled '5th Grade Overview', containing 'Class Assignments', 'To-Do List', and 'Standards Report Summary'.
